2007 Christmas Program
A Pioneer and Soldier Christmas Program was put on at The Old Fort on December 14th and 15th, 2007.  Road weary pioneers entered the Old Fort to be greeted by the soldiers stationed there.  Visitors were able to participate in various activities, milk a cow, eat Dutch Oven Cobbler, and watch a live Nativity Play.  Over 500 hundred people came to this event sponsored by Bunker Brothers, Nevada Materials Services, Anderson Dairy, Cordner and Associates, Las Vegas Wedding Bureau, and Sam's Club.  THANK YOU!!!  Photographs supplied by Walter Pfyl.

Nevada Day 2007
There were lots of activities for all those who came to our Nevada Day Celebration.  Our Guest Speaker this year was Prof. Sondra Cosgrove, who gave a very interesting mini-lecture on Southern Nevada History.  We had our Eighth Annual Pumpkin Decorating contest for the children and our Third Annual Soup Cook-Off for the Adults.  There were pioneer games by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Mountain Men had their wares out for all to see.  The Soldiers let visitors put on uniforms and spoke about life as a civil-war era soldier.  There was also free birthday cake and ballons.  Everyone had a great time and we are going to do it again in 2008!
